HOW IT WORKS.
The PicoSure laser removes tattoos by emitting ultra-short pulses of intense light (one-trillionth of a second) that pass through the top layers of the skin to the pigment below. This light is harmless to the skin but causes the tattoo ink to shatter into tiny, dust-like particles that are readily absorbed and eliminated by the body.
That may not sound like much to you, but better clearance of the ink particles mean fewer treatments, more effective ink removal, and faster recovery time. That’s HUGE in the tattoo removal world.
Most tattoos require several treatments for effective removal, depending on factors like tattoo size, location, how old the tattoo is, and the colors. The easiest color to remove is black because it absorbs all laser wavelengths, while other colors absorb light selectively, depending on the hue.
